Are Private Schools required to be accredited?
No, it is not required that private schools be accredited. Accreditation ensures that the private school is meeting standards that are equivalent to or greater than those of public schools. The process is very similar to accreditation for colleges and universities.

Do private schools have to follow federal IDEA (Individuals with Disability Education Act) Law?
No, private schools are not covered under the IDEA law. However, it does not take a federal directive to do what is right for children. Private schools operate under contract law which ensures that parents are aware of what is being offered for their child at the beginning of the school year and allows for legal recourse if this contract is broken. Children with special needs are very well served in private schools of their choosing. 87% of all private schools serve children with some type of special needs and there are 51 private schools that specifically serve children with special needs.
Are private school teachers certified?
Teachers in accredited private schools are degreed and highly qualified. This allows private schools to hire PhDs in a subject area to teach that subject without requiring teacher certification.
Are private schools accountable?
Private schools are the most accountable type of educational setting because they have to attract parents willing to pay tuition for a service that is provided to the general public for free. Parents are also able to withdraw their child from the school if they are unsatisfied. This is the ultimate accountability. However, accreditation in private school operates the same way it works in colleges and universities and ensures that child’s education is equivalent to or greater than that provided in public school so that the parents can rest assured that the school is focused on educational excellence each and every day.

Students will be interviewed and need to demonstrate that they devote 20 or more hours per week to their pursuit. We are here to help our students become high-performing and competitive professionals in whatever field they pursue.
What grades are offered?
We offer K-12 and our core curriculums are Bible, English, History, Language, Math, and Science

What is your student to teacher ratio?
SoC’s student to Academic Coach ratio is approximately 20:1. We have individualized attention and extra help from our affiliate program if needed. Also, we have time management education to assist student in preparing for higher grades.
Do you have tuition payment plans?
We offer multiple payment options for the entire school year. Our tuition fee is all inclusive.
What are your teachers’ qualifications?
SoC is a private school and does not require our teachers to be certified. We also do not call our staff “teachers” they are Academic Coaches. Our Academic Coaches are evaluated on their experience of being prior teachers, successful businesspeople, athletes, and or counselors. Finally, our Academic Coaches are interviewed, official background checked, and measured on their passion, dedication, and motivation to student success.
How do you integrate technology and curriculum?
The majority of our course content is online. Our Academic Coaches check in with the student 1-2 times a week to monitor progression and bring solutions to any delayed assignment.

Our Academic Coaches check in 1-2 times a week to monitor student progression. Success is when the student is on schedule or ahead of schedule with a passing grade.
What is student life like?
Student life is a collaborative experience involving the student, parent, and Academic Coach, with ongoing communication to ensure alignment with the student’s schedule and academic progress.
How can parents get involved?
Parents play a huge role in their student education. In addition, constant communication of the students’ schedule will help the Academic Coach set their schedule to better support the student. As of now, we do not have any volunteer opportunities.
Does your school have religion in your curriculum?
Yes, our students are required to complete biblical courses.
Do you have an academic work policy?
We do not have a hard assignment work policy, but we do strongly recommend for the student to complete the course within the 9 months assigned. This will keep them competitive with their peers.
Do you offer community service?
No, we do not. We are on the student schedule. Each Academic Coach has multiple high performing students on different schedules, and we would not be able to support such activity.
Do you offer financial aid?
No financial aid is available. We do offer multiple payment plan.
